Description
A while back, I made a deviation about my favorite Pokemon from every type, and I decided to revisit that with an updated version with some more recent Pokemon from SwSh (and some older ones too.) So here are my new favorite Pokemon from every type (gens 1-8)

Edit: My picks for Poison and Ice have recently changed. For Poison it's Scolipede and for Ice it's Aurorus

Grass: Serperior
My personal favorite starter due to nostalgia reasons. My first Pokemon game was White, and Snivy was the starter I picked. I just liked it more than the other two Unova starters, and it still holds a spot in my heart. I find it weird that it's the only gen 5 Pokemon here, since gen 5 is my favorite generation, but there are plenty of other gen 5 Pokemon that I really like as well.

Fire: Talonflame
I love birds, especially birds of prey like hawks and eagles, and Talonflame is definitely one of the coolest bird Pokemon out there. I also have a hidden ability shiny one that I like using as well.

Water: Lapras
Tbh I'm not really a huge fan of gen 1, as it is my personal least favorite generation, even though there are some great Pokemon from this gen, such as Lapras, which is for sure my favorite gen 1 Pokemon.

Normal: Silvally
There aren't that many Normal types that stand out to me that much (aside from a few,) but Silvally is the one that I like the most since I think it looks cool, and I like the sorta chimera aspects it has.

Electric: Toxtricity
I remember last year in November when I saw the leaks for all the new Pokemon in SwSh, I was looking to see what Pokemon interested me the most, and then I saw Toxtricity, and from the very moment I first saw it, I knew I had to have one on my team. It is my favorite gen 8 Pokemon, and also one of my new all-time favorite Pokemon.

Psychic: Lugia
My favorite legendary and favorite gen 2 Pokemon, mainly due to nostalgia reasons and that I also think it looks cool. I've yet to use one though, but hopefully that'll change once I find one in a DMAX Adventure in SwSh.

Fighting: Kommo-o
Not many gen 7 Pokemon really caught my attention tbh (there were some cool ones though,) but Kommo-o is most certainly my favorite of the gen 7 Pokemon. I think it looks cool, plus I've used one many times. I really wish it had a better shiny though.

Rock: Aggron
Honestly, it was hard for me to choose my favorite Rock Pokemon, since there are a bunch that I'm a big fan of, but I eventually decided to go with Aggron, since it's a really cool looking Pokemon, and I like using it sometimes.

Ground: Flygon
I've always been a big fan of Flygon since I was a kid, and now it is my second favorite Pokemon of all-time. I also used to think it was a Bug/Dragon type until someone told me that it is actually part Ground type instead of Bug. It is also my favorite gen 3 Pokemon.

Flying: Noivern
Not only is Noivern my favorite Flying type and favorite gen 6 Pokemon, but it is my favorite Pokemon period. I love dragons and bats, and when I found out there was gonna be a new bat dragon/wyvern Pokemon for X and Y, I got so excited, and I knew for sure it was gonna be my favorite Pokemon from gen 6, but overtime it ended up becoming my new favorite Pokemon.

Bug: Centiskorch
I'm not really a huge fan of most of the earlier Bug Pokemon, despite my original favorite Bug Pokemon being a gen 1 Pokemon, but gen 5 and onward had some really cool ones. Gen 5 was the best generation of Bug types imo, but gen 8 isn't far behind. I used a Centiskorch during my playthrough of Sword, and I was really impressed with it, and soon it became one of my favorite Pokemon from gen 8. Plus I think it has a cool design as well.

Poison: Salazzle
Honestly I wasn't too sure whether or not my choice for Poison would change or not, since I'm a pretty big fan of a lot of Poison types, but I still went with Salazzle since I think it has a nice design and a cool type combo.

Dark: Umbreon
My personal favorite Eeveelution. Though there are some other Dark types I prefer using such as Hydreigon, I still want to use an Umbreon at some point. Plus its shiny is really cool.

Ghost: Dragapult
While Toxtricity ended up becoming my favorite gen 8 Pokemon, Dragapult isn't too far behind. I love the design and concept of it, and I used one during my Sword playthrough (though it wasn't until much later in game.)

Ice: Glaceon
This was another hard one to choose from since there are quite a bunch of Ice types I like. I went with Glaceon since it is my second favorite Eeveelution and I think it looks nice.

Steel: Corviknight
I remember back when SwSh hadn't come out yet, and all the new Pokemon were being revealed, I thought for sure that Corviknight would be my favorite gen 8 Pokemon. It's still for sure one of my favorites though and I of course used one in my Sword playthrough. Oddly enough, Skarmory used to be my favorite Steel type before gen 8 came around.

Dragon: Garchomp
I love a lot of Dragon type Pokemon, and Dragon is my favorite type, so choosing my favorite Dragon type was hard, but I eventually settled on Garchomp, which is also my favorite gen 4 Pokemon. It just really fearsome and strong, and for a while I really wanted to use one, and I finally got to use one recently, and it is really powerful. I really wish it had a better shiny though.

Fairy: Xerneas
While Dragon is my favorite type, Fairy is on the complete opposite spectrum, and is my least favorite type by a large margin. While there are VERY few Fairy types I like, Xerneas is definitely my favorite of them all, since I think it has a nice design.
