I was thinking over what Digimon partners I was thinking I, my brother and best friend would have and what evolutions we might have. These were the results of that thought process.

Me: Keemon (Baby), Yaamon (In-Training), Impmon (Rookie), Wizardmon (Champion), Baalmon (Ultimate), Beelzemon Blast Mode (Mega)

I've always been a big fan of this evolution line. Heck, it's one of if not my all time favorite evolutions of Digimon! While I do honestly feel like Wizardmon (despite being a Champion) would be my primary partner, there honestly isn't a form of this line that I dislike by any means. In fact, I love all of them! There's so much story and character arcs/moments that I can think from just this line alone that I feel would make a really compelling story. Also, as someone had pointed out to me, this line would make a perfect foil for me as my Digimon partner. Thinking about how we'd interact with one another and how we might grow as we journey across the Digital World or even just try to keep the presence of Digimon a secret in the real world is just so fun to me! There's a lot more I could say about this choice of a partner for me, but that might be stepping into some spoiler territory for the comic I wanna make, so I'll just leave it at that.

Mickey: Nyokimon (Baby), Yokomon (In-Training), Cutemon (Rookie), Gatomon (Champion), Beastmon (Ultimate), Rafflesimon (Mega)

This Digimon evolution line is honestly PERFECT for Mickey! I knew right away that Cutemon would be her ideal partner just from a glance alone. Everything else just added up to be what I would expect for her ideal Digimon partner. Cutemon alone embodies so much of Mickey herself. Nyokimon and Yokomon hint at her love of flowers (particularly roses). Gatomon and Beastmon feel like a nice little shoutout to her baby boys Jasper and Loki (her cats) as well as her general love for cuddling animals like cats. Beastmon also serves as a reference to Mickey's love of fashion and dancing. Then there's Rafflesimon. This this is a literal freaking fairy queen with a rose aesthetic! That is so Mickey! Overall, I think that this is a perfect complimentary Digimon evolution line for my best friend that embodies who she is and, although falls into the role of a Digmon and DigiDestined sharing nearly the same character, still invites a lot of fun and love to them both as individuals. And yes, Mickey and I have already made jokes about she's basically gonna be my comic's version of Mimi from Digimon Adventure and she is not sorry for that!

My brother: YukimiBotamon (Baby), Nyaromon (In-Training), Salamon (Rookie), Reppamon (Champion), Chirinmon (Ultimate), Mitamamon (Mega)

When I began searching for possible Digimon partners for my brother, I mostly focused on my brother's love of dogs, working out, and anime. I initially thought my brother would end up with Gaomon. I mean, it's a boxing dog! It's so perfect! Then I remembered that Salamon was also a dog Digimon. I wasn't sure how an evolution with Salamon for my brother would work out, but I was rather surprised by the result. Looking through Salamon's possible evolutions, I noticed that Reppamon was a possible evolution and thought that would pay a nice homage to my brother's love of anime. From there, it just built from this cute, little doggy to a holy beast to a freaking GOD BEAST! I was amazed by the evolution line I developed for my brother from this, though was still pretty confident he'd choose Gaomon. However, when I finally got to show him the list of ideas I had for his Digimon partner, I was surprised to see that he picked Salamon. He really loved having this cutie of a doggy be his partner only to grow into such fearsome beasts of holy and even godly powers. While this pick did take me by surprise, I can defiantly see this Digimon line working out really well for my bro. I feel like it reflects both his loving and sensitive side as a caring and protective brother while also capturing his strength and awesomeness! I really like how this turned out for him and I'm excited to see how my brother and his Salamon will develop in my comic.

So, those are our Digimon partners so far. I do want to add a few more DigiDestined and Digimon to the story, though I may have to create these next DigiDestined directly from my imagination instead of taking inspiration from people in my actual life and find their ideal Digimon. Still, with what we have so far, this is looking to be pretty interesting. We'd got some awesome Digimon so far who I look forward to seeing how they interact with their DigiDestined partners and each other. Needless to say, putting a fairy, a demon, and a beastly god on the same team is defiantly gonna result in some interesting fun and chaos. If you guys have any ideas for other Digimon and DigiDestined who could possibly join us, I'd love to hear your ideas!

Also, funny side note, I only realized until I saw them all together that I accidentally, in a way, reunited Gatomon and Wizardmon from Digimon Adventure! I SWEAR that was not intentional! It just so happened that I have a Wizardmon, Mickey has a Gatomon, and my brother has a Salamon, LOL! It was just pure coincidence, I swear! Although it wasn't intentionally, I kinda can't help but love that! And no, none of these Digimon are the same as the ones from the show. They'll all have their own personalities and history that do not connect them to the Digimon from the show we all know and love. Though I do plan to bring in some of the characters from the show, I can assure you that none of our Digimon partners are those same characters. Sorry to disappoint you all on that.
