Description The front side of the Walhalla Hall of Fame and Honor , facing the Danube river

I took this photo with my Canon Digital Ixus 50 while a bunch of my family and I took a visitor there for some sight seeing. It's obviously not such a great photograph, but I'm quite pleased with it and astounded by the symmetry I have achieved. I only tweaked the color and levels a bit and rotated it from landscape to portrait format.

I saw Walhalla this summer on a school trip and loved it. One of the must-sees if you go to southern Germany. I have a picture or two posted myself, but I didn't go down below, so I love this one

The Walhalla is awesome .. I went there by a ship and I really liked all the statues/heads inside it.
You really can see that the old heads are more detailed than the ones that were made a few years ago.

Really interesting and the shot is really good.

(btw watch the stairs I fell down a few of them xD)

I love the bulging columns of the structure. I watched a doco about how the ancient Romans managed to construct the curved columns quite recently on the Nat Geo channel. Very advanced, even if it was way back when they didn't have calculators. I love the sculpture reliefs(?) in the pedament too. Cool photograph.

Indeed the symmetry is pretty awesome. As is the exposure, where all the details are captured pretty crisply. A pity there's disturbance about. At least they offer as puny references to scale

Nice contrats of the white of the building with the blue of the sky.
It'd been better without people in it, though they let us get an idea of how big is that building

I guess I was lucky that we went there on a Monday. On weekends and holidays there are loads more people usually.
