Originally this was another one of my magic characters, but I have since redesigned that character and this one has not been give a new name or purpose yet. She just sits quietly in submission to those who, for the moment, hold power over her.Related content

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. But her skirt is actually a type of mid-eastern style pants called pantaloons; and you're right, the folds in them make them look a lot more realistic. I was really quite pleased by how well they turned out.Β

Yes, I'm thinking of using her for a dark ages fantasy story I've been working on; and she comes from a medieval period of her world's middle east.
So I made her clothing look like they were from the region and time period.

Well she's actually kind of sad and thinking of all the terrible things that have happened to her just before this. She's in the hands of the bad guys who are planning to sell her off as a slave. As for the skirt, they're actually a type of see though pants called pantaloons. Drawing them so they looked right was a little tricky, but they did turn out pretty well.

Yeah, from what I've seen in your gallery it looks like you're really into manga style art. I've just started playing around with that style, and it's kind a fun to; but the style that's my favorite is "idealized".Β

You did fairly well with this. I think some shading would make this even better, especially in her face and hair. But the pose is spot on.

Thanks for the kind comment. This was one of my early attempts at realistic human anatomy; but I've always been proud of how well it turned out. And if I ever draw an updated version of it, I'll probably add shading like you suggested; and maybe even color.Β

I'm glad you like her, she did turn out rather well. But I made a few minor errors here and there, and she would probably look a lot better shaded and colored in. Which means I'm probably going to update this drawing and maybe even add to it.
