Left 4 Dead: Hunter x Reader
A Hunter's Priorities

--Hunter's P.O.V--

I watched the five human survivors from a nearby-roof with the shingles torn apart and the wood rotting from the beamers,
the one survivor I was focused on was the (H/C) haired woman with (E/C) eyes carrying around a Carbon 15 that looked to
be needing ammunition sometime soon, I watched as her small figure trembled along the bloodied pavement, shrouded
by disembowled bodies of the Common Infected, I watched as the five of them cringed at the ungodly scent of rotting,
corroded, decomposed flesh that aligned the curb of the road almost overflowing with abandoned cars, a thick smell of
a metallic, rusting scent thickly clouded the atmosphere, intensifying my craving for the warm, bloody flesh under my
begrimed and tainted nails, the image of the crimson liquid cascading down my slowly-decaying pale face, and the cry of
help and pain both combining together to create an ultimate bliss for a Special Infected such as myself, but then it took a
turn for the worse, a low growl emanted from within my throat, luckily they never heard it, at the corner of my eye appeared
a Smoker another Special Infected, I caught his gaze for a second and then he continued to scout for a hiding place to
endure his attack on one of the human's at least, that's when my mind retracted to the (H/C) haired girl, I let out a growl at
the thought of the Smoker attacking the female, I steathily crawled toward him, making sure he was unaware of my
presence, I watched as his mutated face throbbed and oozed puss, made me go back to that encounter I had with the one
they call a 'Boomer', I was forced to listen to his dry coughs that emitted from his throat, the wheezin, ragged gasps
coming from his throat sounded terrible, his glazed bloodshot eyes averted their gaze to my slouched form, his
disgustingly long tongue shot out at me, but failed due to my sharp, black tinted nails, that cut through the
wart-covered bloody slithering entrapment like a piece of paper, a cry of help broke loose from his mouth, the remainder of
the tongue retracted, but in almost a second, it healed and was like new again, almost as if nothing happened.
All hell broke loose, an infected's plea of help alerted other infected in the 5-mile radius, I glared at the Smoker, a low,
terrifying growl sounded from my terribly dry throat, he turned and shot his tongue out at the (H/C) female, I heard as she
let out a scream, alerting her fellow companions.

--Reader's P.O.V--

Ever since I entered this small town, I had the constant feeling I was being watched, I kept looking around me if I could
catch Nick, Ellis, Coach, or Rochelle staring at me ''So guys, How's this weather we're having?'' Nick joked ''Shut up Nick''
Rochelle sighed, Nick laughed ''It's bad enough we're stuck with you in this hellhole'' Coach said, scouting ahead to check
for any infected ''Yeah, I mean we're stuck here with all these rotting numb-skulls walking around preying on anything that
has a living breathing soul..Don't make it anymore irritating for us'' I said ''I agree with (Y/N)'' Ellis said, suppressing a
chuckle, I just let the situation pass as I kept hearing this horrible, wheezing noise coming from one of these rotting
rooftops, it was also followed by a barily audible growl ''Did you guys hear that?'' I questioned the group ''No'' they said in
unison ''What'd you hear (Y/N)?'' Coach asked, glaring questioningly into my (E/C) orbs ''It sounded like-'' I was cut short by
an ear-piercing shriek of pain, emitting from one of the rooftops, I readied my Carbon 15 pistol, aiming it at the ready, in
case one of those hooded Special Infected came out of nowhere and pounced on any of us, tearing our throat out from
the base, or even the other one with the freakishly long tongue that wraps around your body like an anaconda, ensnaring
us in his trap and pulling us toward him to finish us off himself. I looked up at the roof, expecting something to come out,
''What the hell was that?'' Nick panicked ''I don't know and I don't like it'' Coach responded ''No use, staying out in the open''
Rochelle suggested, we carefully walked toward a small duplex, we reached the white-beaten door realizing it was locked,
we all let out an annoyed, exhausted sigh ''God dammit!'' Nick cursed, throwing his gun to the ground, proceeding to kick it,
Ellis slid to the ground, hunched over slightly ''We might as well pronounce ourselves dead!'' Nick yelled ''Could you keep
it down?!'' I hastily yelled in a whisper ''Why, There is obviously no way of surviving for us!'' he continued to yell ''Nick! Calm
your ass down!'' Coach joined in on the arguement ''I think we should all-'' Rochelle was cut off by a zombie's cry of help
''Shit!'' Ellis immediatly stood and readied his M-16. Suddenly, I felt a warm, wet substance coating my left leg, I fell face
first, my (S/C) face hit the concrete with a thud, I realized I was being dragged I turned around and saw the most disgusting
infected I've ever seen besides a Boomer, I looked to see what snared my leg and saw it's tongue, I let out a scream ''Help!''
I shouted, hoping at least someone would hear me ''Ellis!'' I shouted hoping he would hear, I looked and saw they were busy
fighting off a horde of Common Infected ''Fuck!'' I panicked, I turned and noticed I stopped being dragged as his tongue was
caught under a chunk of concrete, I pried myself out of the slimy entrapment, it only tightened under pressure ''Help!'' I
shouted as loud as possible ''Hang on kid!'' Coach shouted. His tongue was finally released, I tried ever-so hard to get out
but I just couldn't find the strength to pry myself out 'This is it..I'm gonna die' I thought as I let myself get dragged toward
my captor 'After all I've been through..This is how it ends' I closed my eyes, awaiting the pain 'Goodbye..What's left of the
world' My thoughts were cut short as I felt the overgrown tongue come loose, followed by another agonizing shriek, I opened
my eyes to find the pure-blue sky come into view 'Am I dead?' I thought, I sat up and my (E/C) eyes widened in shock, What
I'm seeing right now was the most wierdest scenario I could think of..A Hunter attacking a Smoker? I watched as it's lighting-
fast strikes drove the Smoker closer to it's death, I couldn't move..I was saved by a hunter. I continued to stare as the
undead creature drove the other to death's door, the Smoker fell limp, My breath hitched as I saw the Hunter avert his cold
gaze to me, his figure hunched over as he stood on all-four's, he slowly approached me 'Oh god no' My eyes wide in fear as
I watched the Hunter come toward my trembling figure, he trapped me underneath his form as he slowly pushed me to the
ground, my (H/C) hair fanned out around my head as he started to sniff my figure from the waist up, I couldn't breath at all
or find the ability to move, he neared my face, I could feel his breath on the side of my face as he seemed to be studying my
expression, I looked at his face, finding darkess under his tattered navy-colored hood, a drop of blood fell on my face, he
smelled my hair which was dirtied and matted, I myself had to say I looked like an infected ''(Y/N)!!'' I heard someone shout
my name, I looked and saw the other four's expression which read shock and amazement, the Hunter stopped his session
and sat up still sitting on my stomach, he raised his grimy, infected hands, preparing to strike, I closed my eyes tightly
awaiting the deathly pain, I waited and felt nothing ''What're you waiting for?'' I stuttered, I opened my eyes to find his hands
down at his sides, the next thing came unexpected. My eyes widened as I felt an immense pain in my right shoulder, I tried
to look only to find a familiar navy hood at my side 'So..this was your intention..' I felt myself become weary, my (F/C) hoody
becoming moist with the river of bright crimson blood coming from my shoulder, I felt myself letting go, about to fall.
''We shouldn't be here!'' I heard Nick yell, I heard their retreating footsteps leave ''Your top priority was to find a mate..' I
forced myself a small smile, as I felt myself slip from life.

--Hunter's P.O.V--

I nuzzled the side of my cold face against her now lifeless one 'Yes..it was my intention to find another one like you' I
answered her question as I saw her (E/C) orbs close one last time, I realized this was the last time I'd ever see them that
color again as I had turned her into my kind before that wretched Smoker attempted to kill her 'As soon as you awake..You'll
see the world as I do' I put my forehead to hers 'I won't leave your side..Until you awake'
