Description
Overgrowth ponies/equines: they were creatures who were born "normally", but through a certain wishing well (based in an original land called Etheros), gained strange abilities and links with a certain biome or tree/etc. While the ponies are granted different abilities depending on their link (strength usually, sometimes a more mellow or lazy personality, the ability to understand nature better), the biome is actively growing on their bodies. They need to take care of their biome or it will overtake them.
Their sister species is called Downpour ponies, the same idea but with water-based appearances and abilities.

Different links can be made with biomes such as beach, forest, etc.; different types of trees or plants, or other foliage (i.e. sea shells, rocks and minerals, flowers, etc.) There isn't some huge guidebook yet, but that's the gist.
