Norway x Reader – Better than Butter
You sighed and stood outside, the bitter cold Norwegian air biting your cheeks as you waiting for your boyfriend to pick you up. He was supposed to be here an hour ago! Finally you dialed his number. After what seemed like a lifetime, he picked up.
“Hey babe, sup?” he asked you.
“You idiot! Did you forget that we were going on a date tonight!?” you screamed into the phone.
“...Oh yeah, about that, I had to cancel. I got some other plans.” You gritted your teeth, and you could swear you heard a woman in the background. “Who’s on the phone, babe?” Your mouth fell open as you heard the rival female call your boyfriend ‘babe’. That cheater! That lying snake!
“You know what, (male name), don’t bother calling me back. Or ever again. I never want to see your cheating face again!” you slammed your phone shut (Yay for flip-phones XD) and got in your car without another word, driving off into the sunset.

~*~*~*~Time skip brought by Ireland’s black magic~*~*~*~

You pulled up at a bar you didn’t even know existed. Parking your (color) (car brand) car in the closest spot you could find, you stepped out, suddenly wondering if your (color) dress was appropriate for a bar. I mean, you were going to go to a fancy dinner with (ex-boyfriend’s name) and so your (hair color) hair was done up all nice, you were wearing your favorite jewelry, everything. Nervously you stepped in.
You were immediately met by various cat-calls from drunken (probably Irish) men. Ignoring them, you sat, and awaited the bartender. When the bartender arrived, you completely blanked out, looking at him.
He was gorgeous. His pale blonde hair fell perfectly down his face, and was parted by a cross-shaped hairpin. His eyes were cold and midnight blue and you could stare into them forever. His face was expressionless, which you found quite sexy. The strangest part about him was the little hair curl that literally floated off his head.
You were snapped out of his enchanting trance when he spoke to you, his voice deep and smooth. “Miss? I asked you what you would like.” Such a cold, beautiful voice, as emotionless as his face.
“O-oh!” You stammered, blushing. “Um, something strong. My boyfriend cheated on me, I need to drink it off.” He nodded and grabbed a few materials, throwing them in the mixer and beginning to shake them.
Blushing slightly, ever so slightly, he spoke to you. “I think your boyfriend sounds like a jerk. I don’t know why anyone would cheat on a woman like you…” he focused then on pouring your drink.
You blushed like mad and smiled weakly. “Thank you… that really helped me.” He looked up in surprise, well, you thought it was surprise. You couldn’t really tell, since he didn’t have any emotion in his face.
“Really? Well, what’s your name, miss?” again, you thought you could see a faint blush.
“(name). You murmured softly. “My name is (full name).”
“Hm,” he grunted. “(name). What a nice name. I’m Lukas. Lukas Bondevik.” You know, if you’d like, I can fill in this empty date night. B-but, only if you want.” He stuttered and looked down. You could tell that stuttering was not something he usually does, but it made him more attractive to you.
“Alright, that sounds amazing. What time?” you grinned like an idiot, happy to replace your ex with a man as amazingly beautiful as Lukas.
“Hm, now?” he said, more as a command then a question. Motioning to his fellow bartender, he spoke quickly to him in Norwegian. The man nodded and Lukas took your hand, leading you to his car. Opening the door for you, he went around the other side to the driver’s seat.
“Uh, Lukas?” you asked. “What about my car?”
He smiled a tiny smile. “We’ll come back for it.”
“Where are we going?”
“You’ll see.”
Sighing, you gave up on the questioning.

~*~*~*~Another time skip, this time by Norway’s magic~*~*~*~

Lukas stopped the car in what seemed like the middle of nowhere. Helping you out of the car, he picked you up bridal style and carried you up a hill. You were thankful of this, not only because you hated climbing uphill, but because the Norwegian night air was cold, and he provided extra warmth.
“Where are we, Lukas?” you asked, shivering as the wind whipped your (color) hair.
Sighing softly, he laid you down in the grass on top of the hill and lay down with you. “This is where I come, sometimes, when my brothers are being idiots. Especially Mathias, he drives me insane. It gets so stuffy in my home that I feel like I just… need to get out. Be free. Here, I’m free. It’s quiet and peaceful…” he trailed off and closed his eyes.
The little hilltop was indeed beautiful. The ocean waves slapped against rocks a few hundred yards off in one direction, birds chirped in the other. This hill was indeed perfect. You closed your eyes and laid your head on his chest, smiling. He wrapped a strong arm around you and laughed a laugh like chimes, perfect in every way.
“Lukas? What’s so funny?” you asked.
He opened his eyes and glanced at you. “Well, this morning, before I went to work, I got in an argument with Mathias. He said I’d never get a woman. Now I can prove him wrong, that not only do I have a woman, I have the most beautiful woman in the world.” He smiled and kissed your forehead. “I love you, (name).”
“I love you too. You’re so much better than anyone I’ve ever met. We’re like bread and butter already. You’re perfect.”
Lukas flinched as you mentioned butter. It reminded him of his previous love, butter. (Norway x Butter reference? Anyone?) But he knew he’d give up any amount of butter for you.
“You’re better than any butter I’ll ever fall in love with.” He said softly, stroking your hair.
