I'm really not proud of my shading here so there may be better people to ask. I guess the best way would be to look for a material of similar consistency and put your hands under it to have a reference. What I did was a simple heuristic: just sketch the hands normally above the face and then cover them with the drawing of the mask while including some bumps where fingers would be and stretch marks between regions that push outward (like the chin of the face and the knuckles of the hands).
