Description Taken at Elmwood Cemetery. It seemed such a unique and intimately personal remeberance, and very touching.

I love that there are no people in it, it seems lonely, like it is supposed to be. And the glow of the flowers looks really good here, and makes them the focus of the picture. Lovely shot.

Thank you SO much!! I'm glad you like the photo. It turned out so much better than I'd anticipated.
The day I took it, the cemetery was pretty much empty except for me, and several ravens (who wouldn't sit still for a decent pic ) It was late in the day, and getting ready to rain, so I think that's why it was so deserted.

Thanks also for the s and the watch. They're very much appreciated!

Short Description: Lovely & Thought-provoking. Nice work.

Lengthy Critique: The angle takes the eye further into the picture, as if to inspire one to delve into a deeper meaning. Perception emerges w/the recognition & understanding of what else is present, but not immediately noticed.

The white flowers have an illuminating glow, as if symbolistically. Also they almost bring more 'life' into the view, as a reminder of how one lives on in memories after death.

The other flower, fallen to the ground, as if in longing to be closer...it also seems important to take notice of how it is still intact, & with stem, not a fallen bloom; as if to stand for the balance, & how every aspects or every thing must coexist, for they complete & support eachother's existence.

Thank you SO much! I love your perspective on this piece, and I can't begin to tell you how appreciative I am of your observations and input. I find it remarkably helpful that you take the time to give a detailed critique, because it gives me a broader viewpoint than I would normally have. Thats a great asset for future endeavors. Thanks again!

Quite welcome, i am ecstatic that you enjoyed it so much and found it helpful. Thanks in return for such a compliment!

Art is to say the least...rather important...when possible it seems necessity to critique in detail (even if dead wrong!). As it is also important to attempt to understand the underlying meanings.

You're welcome. You're right on about the necessity of critique. Every artist loves hearing oooh's and aaahs, and "this is awesome", but very few people take the time to what they like or don't like about a piece, or what they think adds to or distracts from it. I value your insights very much!

Thanks so much! I appreciate the comment, and the fav! I was happy with the angle too, I just looked a little silly lying there on my stomach to get the shot I wanted

Lovley shot, perfect composition, and the slight glow around the flowers
makes me think the spirit of the person they are for is very pleased with them.
That is what I see in this ......

Thank you! I love what you see in this piece It was such a unique and touching display surrounded by all the standard tributes usually found in a cemetery.

I think you would have laughed yourself silly if you'd seen me laying flat on my tummy to get this shot!

Thanks for your kind comment and insight...and of course...the fav!

I keep telling myself that, but somehow, I don't think you're going to see too many lofty shots from me. Something about heights

Great photo. Here are these lovely flowers in a place that symbolizes death, reminding us there's beauty in all things. I love the blurred quality.
