As I've read Krossan's comic, I've not only fallen more in love with their work, but saw a lot of poses I've never tried myself... so I brought a specific page of the comic up on my screen, and got to work. Then, the whole thing kind of just...morphed into a full piece.

Anyways, it's a random scene with Dan and Toula. She's looking out into the distance, thinking to herself, while Dan keeps an eye on their surroundings or something. Not quite sure, since I just let my hands do the work.

I've gotten a lot of comments about my Dan drawings being very closely similar to Krossan's artwork. To settle a few matters...:

1. yes, i used their tutorial, and occasionally look at a page or two from the comic and try to see if I have the skill it takes to draw this character.

2. I DO NOT TRACE. The very thought of doing so drives me crazy. I absolutely hate the idea, because it just isn't logical to me. I mean, what's the point of stealing another's piece of art? For me, I think it would destroy the years of practice it took to get where I'm at, and probably make me dependant on it in order to create any good pieces of work again. Believe me, I've had the temptation, but I refuse to acknowledge or give in to it. I promise that all similarities in my art to others' is entirely unintentional, and merely me challenging myself to try something new.
