Description
So as usual when making a Pokemon fangame I like to play with the types. Except this time, along with making new types of I renamed some of the official types! Here are the definitions as follows:
Zero Type - Normal Type. Re-named to represent it is a lack of a typed Pokemon / Move.
Fighter Type - Fighting Type. All Pokemon are fighting so it makes more sense to call the type "Fighter". Basic Fighting type Moves on the other hand will go into the Zero type category since they lack elemental parts to them. Also, Fighter types can only learn Physical Moves unless they have a secondary type.
Soar Type - Flying Type. Pokemon who are light in weight and basic flyers or at least can float easily.
Dive Type - Flying Type. I figured I'd need a version of flying type to counteract Soar Type. These flying Pokemon are more heavier and advanced in their flying abilities.
Cryst Type - Rock Type. Crystite aka "Cryst" Type is used because all Rock Pokemon are crystals and gems in design.
Death Type - Ghost Type. Ghosts are dead; it works.
Cage Type - Steel Type. Cage is a metaphor for being either imprisoned or protected. For some Pokemon they are imprisoned in metal like Steelix while others are protected like the armored Aggron.
- Type - Unused type.
Wood Type - Grass Type. It's all the same really, I just think Wood sounds more formal for a nature type.
Anima Type - Psychic Type. Anima is your inner self / soul; it's similar to the untapped psychic ability I guess. And it sounds cool. lol
Illume Type - Light Type. Normally I use my "Glow" type, but this time I wanted to use a different word.
Rust Type - Rust types are the aging Pokemon. They tend to have weak stats and are slow but are also very rare.
Medic Type - Medic type Pokemon can only learn stat healing / damaging moves and are best suited for double battles.
Mage Type - Mage types can only learn special Moves and no Physical moves unless are half Zero type. They go together in the trio of Fighter / Medic / Mage.
Summon Type - Summon Pokemon are like Legendary Pokemon, but after battled they are turned into a summoning Move which can only be learned by Mage Type Pokemon. There are 14 Summon Pokemon in the game; 2 tiers based on their rarity and power.
So that should cover it. I know it will take some getting used to, but I think it will be fun and refreshing. Enjoy!

Same kind of element if you could call it that but different strengths and weaknesses.

so are soar and dive both pokemon types,
or is dive just a move type that will be programed to get stab from soar type pokemon?
Also, will rust types have a "restored version" that has better stats?
Would chancey, if in this, be a medic type?

Both Are Pokemon and moves types.
Nope, Rust types tend to just degrade into Death types.
Yes.

interesting.
So.... do soar and dive have differences, type match up wise?
also, would the death types that were rust types be stronger at least?
OH! and would other pokemon evolve to rust types? (and would there ones other steel types?)

[sorry im so inquisitive]Β
So drifloon and pidgey would be soar typesΒ
but hawlucha (whose dex entry and the anime say that it cannot actually fly) and..... maybe delibird, mantine or gyrados? Never seen any of those actually fly.
Also, did you know golurk can learn fly?!

Yeah Drifloon would definitely be a Soar type, I suppose Pidgey too, though as a Pidgeot it may become a Dive type.
And if it can't fly, it's not in the dex.
Nope, didn't know that.

I mean, it can soar and glide on the wind, and falls slowly....
same with skiploom
Maybe soar would have more special moves, and dive more physical?
thats the vibe i get

Yeah, Skiploom would be another good Soar type.

No, I decided to discard that one. I' not really sure what the unused type is, it just comes with the game's kit.
