This is by far my favorite image on DA right now. I love how you made such a tragic piece so.. beautiful. O.o Everything from the berry bush to her eyes and the shade work.. <3 Would it be alright with you if I made this my computer's desktop background? ^^ Of course, I will not alter it, not even to crop it nor re-submit it anywhere else but as my background for my computer. ^^

Even though the consistency is fairly similar, allowing it to blend in a bit, with ribbons, it adds color.. and in the case of red either makes one think of blood, despair, love, or.. maybe desire.. Her pleading expression does nothing to dissuade these thoughts. Her cuts can either mean real love that has a a few rough and jagged edges but ultimately, it still works to create such a beautiful scene. On the other hand, she has a mildly broken look to her with those small slices, which leans into desire or despair. So much interpretation!
With the hair, it blends in where it is supposed to and has enough contrast to not just disappear. Her disheveled appearance to her white hair with your emphasis on your reds.. Everything about this pleases my eye. The mix of the ribbons and the hair is a unique texture to me.. adds a surreal flavor to this piece. <3 The hair, in my honest opinion does EXACTLY what it needs to do to tie everything together.
Still my favorite piece on DA. What is your opinion?
