Letters are like pieces of my mind,
That I send in the flow of wind.
Will it reach you, my love?

We met so simply,
And yet it was lovely.
I have loved every bit of it.
Even when our hearts were out of synch.

It was under that tree,
Under that sky.
It wasn’t love at first sight,
But it sure was friendship for life.

Then you showed me your kindness,
Your bright smile, your happiness.
Also a bit of your stubbornness,
I loved it, I loved you in all your foolishness.

At that time, I thought,
I loved more someone that I ought.
You stayed, you listened.
Always here, always my friend.

You knew when I was heartbroken,
When my heart stayed hidden.
You saw it break in my eyes,
You found it lovely at first sight.

You always said pink was fitting,
For me it was just suited.
The hearts of my coat were nothing,
Compared to the heart under my wing.

I wrote letters that I send in the wind,
