And the ENTIRE SERIES uses that term, BTW. I thought it was just some goofy take they kept in, or a one off joke or something. But no. "Videos Game" is the official in universe term. Sort of like they have the supposed Canadian pronunciation of "soorry."

Yeah. Yeah, it makes them unique. I am so puzzled by the "soorey" thing though. They say everything else normally, and it just ticked me off for some reason. I'm getting used to it, but with a consequence: It seems to have subconsciously rubbed off on me and I started catching MYSELF saying "soorey" in everyday life. It's quite amusing, actually.

Have you seen the Captain Planet crossover episode? I thought Steven Universe and Uncle Grandpa crossing over was strange and unlikely, as that show has been off the air for years.

I did and it seemed just a little sarcastic about it, which I liked. I never liked Captain Planet. Not so much for political reasons, but just the fact that the superior environmental show was Toxic Crusaders. Wait...no. Let me rephrase that. I did like Captain Planet when it first came out, but it really didn't hold my attention and passion like Toxic Crusaders did. And after a while, the fact that TC was a flop and CP had so many seasons (because of Ted Turner), I grew to really dislike CP. Years later, I watched that G.I. Joe episode of Community and the parody PSA at the end stood out in my mind why I just didn't nearly like CP as much. As Abed said something like keep the message simple and friendly, or you'll have viewers grow up to be jaded, cynical babies.
To me it's the difference between a bad religious puppet show and Veggitales. You have to make a show likable before you have the message.
Plus, Captain Planet isn't based on a movie where a kid's head gets crushed by a car tire. Lloyd Kaufman actually does promote TC with that exact phrase.
