Haven't been in animesuki for a while as well. But yeah, still practice my stuff daily, I stopped the comic series for a while in order to improve first, currently in the process of starting over from scratch with some fresh ideas.

This is really nice. I like it it with out the white border a lot. That paper looks really sharp, It's cool. Makes her more dangerous than if she had a knife. >.< paper cuts are horrible.
She has a marker, pen, wacom pen, and whats the 4th? Charcoal, color pencil, blending stub, crayon of justice?
I also like her hair and how it's a leaf and the two beads leave you guessing if they are fruit or are they are they crafted. Also this looks better than her former cuts too.

the only thing I'd edit. It'd take one stroke to adjust is on her middle strand of hair that's being held together by the two hair clips. Down at the tip right above her ear, you have a stray line cutting through the that particular part of the hair. Normally I wouldn't waste my or their/your time with something so trivial but, I really like your work and it's your I.D. :3 gotta represent

I guess I do tend to overdo the white border thing quite a bit eh, I usually dont know what to add afterwards to spice things up. Its sort of a go to thing for me these days haha.
She has a 0.5mm mechanical pencil, a wacom intuos 3 stylus, and another 0.5mm mechanical pencil, and a craft knife thing. I sort of rushed them.
The thing on her head is indeed a leaf, the 2 beads are grown on her head as well, Ive been asked many times regarding it too and even had people think the whole beads and leaf are all hair accessories haha.
Regarding the colours, I chose to stick to the flat colour bases this time, as oppose to the usual where I always try to work gradients and opposite colours in for contrast.
I followed your message and located the problem, and I spotted the sketchy bit that that you're talking about haha. For this picture I decided to keep it part sketchy, as opposed to make it super clean lineart with solid colours, mostly because those kind of lineart take a real beating on me, plus this image itself is rather low res, this picture is much much smaller than the regular sizes I work with. But spotting that must mean you have scrutinized this picture quite a bit.

:3 No problem I love your stuff. Lately trying to pay a lot more attention to artists I like to see what works, doesn't, could be improved.
Stuff you could add to mix it up
<- For example: really simple shapes. Gradient backgrounds would work as well.
I can relate with the line art part killing you.
I try to do as few steps and I want to get way faster at it. It's my favorite part up until refinement time.
