Drew this to try out a screen recording thingy. Took about 24mins, the uploaded video is 8min, so its x3 normal playback speed. Was gonna upload the real time ver but... Youtube says no more than 10min

Sai is better than photoshop at lineartting and drawing overall. Colouring, photoshop has more methods of sorting and grouping colours than sai. So I generally use ps to colour. Not too sure what u mean by binding colours, but if u mean make them not go out of lines etc. In this video I pretty much just freehand it. But if you really wanted to...you could clip shadings of colours on top of certain colour layers. To try it out, go in photoshop, make a new layer, draw a opaque circle on that layer, make another layer, hold alt and position ur cursor between the two created layers(dont worry about that background layer lol) and left click. now try to draw on the layer thats indented into the layer with the circle. You'll get the hang of it easily

I was using my intuos 3 at the time. My graphire 3 wont work with paint tool sai anymore =_=; Even tho it use to work...
To extend the canvas size in sai just hold alt and press c then s(let go of c but alt still held down)
To set hotkey do alt+o then k(let go of o but alt still held down) or if u wanna change the hotkey on ur brushes, just double click them in the pallete lol.

I dont think I changed the ink brush settings much. I usually just change the size. And depending on the resolution Im drawing yes I do change my tablet settings to make my stylus tip firmer or softer. Softer on higher resolution and firmer on lower resolution. This one was like 500px x whatever height, I shoulda changed the stylus tip to make it firmer but didnt lol
