Remember the episode "Broadway, Baby!" in Total Drama World Tour? Remember when Sierra said Chris was in a 1980s boy band called Fametown? Then shortly after she claimed Chris was born in 1978 (and you know this is likely true because Chris got offended as he's sensitive about his age)? Well that doesn't track, does it? He'd be so young.

So here's how I reconciled it.

Fametown started in the 1980s but constantly changed members. Chris (back then known as "Christian Pike," back when his parents were still married before his mom re-took her maiden name McLean) joined Fametown at the ripe age of 14 as the band was itching to stay relevant. He barely sang, and mostly served as the cute "baby face" of the band. His band members did not take kindly to him, but his mom -- seen on the left -- always told him he was a star (because she needed to feel like she did something useful with her life). Chris left a few years later to try a solo career as an actor as he felt he didn't get enough respect in the band and could do much better, and the rest is history.

The man on the right is Rodrick, one of his managers. I say "one" because Chris constantly changed agents and managers. Partly because of his insufferable attitude... and partly because his mom had a tendency to sleep with them (even when she was still married). A lot of Chris's early career happened not because of his own talent, but because his mom is intimidating and will do anything to get what she wants. ("Chrissy-boy, Mommy didn't do what Mommy did to that Star Search producer just so you could play badminton. ") So yeah, Chris kind of has a twisted view of relationships.

Anyway uhhh... I wanna work more with this Chris lore... I have designs and concepts for his family members and some of his bandmates. It's fun! Drawing TD backgrounds is not fun though. The geometry is weeeeird.
