Or Captain America's. I seem to remember that in his movie his metabolism becomes something ridiculous like 8x that of a normal human after his transformation. WHAT. I want.

I swear, I have the metabolism of a snorlax...

Not a bad thing at all.
After all, heroes got to eat, too. Shawarma: case in point. Om nom nom nom.
I would NOT want to be the person in charge of cooking for the Avengers, though. Sheesh.

I think if I was a superhero 'd totally wear welly boots and eat lots of pudding... and drink lots of tea...
Pudding means something different in america though, doesn't it?? Over here it just means desert ^^~
Eugh, IKR?! Poor Pepper >.>

That sounds like a perfect life. Especially if the Avengers were involved.
Tee hee, yes! It refers to Jell-O type stuff...I'm not really sure how to explain it. But I like that it means dessert; it sounds much more adorable.
On second thought, I would gladly cook for all of them if it meant I got to be around the Avengers/live with them.

Haha oh gosh, I don't think we have that here... is it sort of the semi-hard custard looking thing that you see on anime and stuff?? What does it even taste of?!
Haha I want to try it now XD
I don't think my ovaries could cope with living with the avengers D;

No Jell-O?! Oh you're missing out. It's not really very firm, but it's got a consistency similar to custard. It comes in lots of flavors, but chocolate and vanilla are the classics. It looks like this . Which, now that I look at it, isn't the most appealing looking thing. But it is tasty! (Maybe it's just nostalgic; I associate it with being a kid.
You have to try and find it! Or we'll have to find a way to send you some
They would learn to adapt. One Avenger per day and Loki on Sundays--you'd be fine.

Ahhhhh Jell-o even sounds funny XD ... it's different to jelly right? ..but then I think you guys call jam jelly >< eugh blimey I'm confused now... so... just to be clear, is this right---> This is Jam ---->
This is Jelly ----->
This is Jell-o ----->
...right?? O.o I really want to try some of your funny wobbly pudding!! It looks hilarious!

As if life wasn't confusing enough! Jelly and jam are generally the same thing (jelly is much smoother/doesn't have seeds. And jam does. I think...) here.
The second icon is Jell-o in its fruit/non-pudding form. (It has a Wikipedia page !)
The last icon is custard, which is similar to Jell-O but less fake and less delicious (in my opinion. But I have a weird thing about custard/flan...)
It really is hilarious, and awesome.
AVENGERS ALL THE TIME.

Oh blimey, really?? Haha custard for us is completely different to that...
this is our custard: [link]
not the cake, but the runny stuff on the top...
How did our languages get this tangled up?!!

Fascinating!
I have no idea. Something about a revolution and angry colonies. But even within the US, there are really different words for the same thing based on dialect. Do you have that variation in language?

MightyMilly In reply to astarayel [2013-04-17 22:53:00 +0000 UTC]
Haha, thoughts of the last AC game spring to mind XD
We do! In fact, there are 3 distinct languages in Britain. We have Gaelic (Scotland, and a variation is spoken in Ireland), Welsh/Cymraeg (in Wales, obviously) and English.
Even within English we have a looot of variation. You might not understand the way my grandparents speak English, or the way I speak when I'm at home because we speak a dialect called Geordie. It looks like this: [link]
Of course, we don't write it like that anymore but that's the way we speak it. It's how it would've been written only as far back as the 20's though!
I speak standard English when I'm not at home though... like, I speak sort of like a female Hiddleston XD
Otherwise, when I'm with my family/Northern friends, I speak like this: [link]
What about you?? Sorry for the mini lecture!

astarayel In reply to MightyMilly [2013-04-19 11:23:17 +0000 UTC]
Tee hee!
Wow. That's so cool! Basically the American breakdown is "Southern," "Northern," and then what I like to consider "normal" (aka Western). Not very interesting variations, if you ask me. I've got a Western accent, which is to say I have no accent at all...Southern accents are pretty amusing, but can sound really different depending on where you live; they're very drawn out and "twangy." (Think country music. People do talk like that). Northern accents are much "quicker," and sound more nasal. If you've ever seen the show "Friends," Janice is doing a really hardcore, awful Northern accent.
Why are your accents/languages so much cooler? Jealous.
