Awesome . So this is an actual window looking outside? I thought it was way too perfect for that!

this is the view from the street...

it has no glass on it

this window is just next to a gate and inside there's a courtyard. actually what you see thru the window is the building and a big umbrella of the terrace.

this is quite common in the old town of some cities in central europe. prague is full of "special" architecture but I saw it also in other small cities of czech republic.

in the same case as you, there are no wall like this where I come from. my country has very different architecture...

Oh so cool! I need to visit some old towns with character one of these days! I'm sure there are some north a couple of hours.
We have a couple of neighborhoods around the place, full of little cozy houses from the late 1800s-early 1900s. I love those . But mostly we've got cookie-cutter boring houses made in the last ten years. bleghhh! They're cheap to create, with no need for good architects or creativity, but then they add high ceilings and then cost a small fortune to buy.

Have you been traveling around Europe? I think it's so cool how all of the countries are so close, so they're easier to travel to. So much cultural opportunities ! I would have to drive three days or more to get to another country .

I'm living in czech republic for the second time... but I am in fact portuguese. on my first period I've been in berlin, cracow, vienna and twice in budapest. but I only bought my camera a couple of months ago so... I have no pictures from that time. now the future (and budget) will tell where I'll go...

but you're definitly right about europe: easy to travel and a lot to see.

Wow. I am very impressed. If I may ask, what sort of job do you have that allows you to travel so widely?
