is having a little contest about drawing a chibi (cute) version of Raiden. Sooo, i kinda had to draw my favourite MK chracter giving this occasion.Ok, so, Photoshop, about 3 maybe 4 hrs, and as usual, cellshading inspired by . I think there's also a Goku influence in there somwhere, althou i didn't quite reference anything else but a pic of Raiden, and the kanji for 'thunder'.
Right so, this was fun, good luck to everyone, and keep hosting fun contests to give me an incentive to DO STUFF! : D
So, apparently i kinda won! Thanks to Hannah and the judges! : D

It's very clever with what you've done in using the kanji for 'Thunder' to serve as a background but creating small lightening bolts to attach itself to the Raiden. This creates a wonderful impact and it just goes to show that a simple but effective background can sometimes be a lot more than what it seems.
The pose is great, showing that he means action, and yet his face has a sweet softness to it.

Thanks, it helps sometimes to have something in the background rather than leaving it white. Even it's something simple. It shows you adreesing that space and gives a 'finished' look.
