Overwhelming ForcesSo, this is the reason why I didn't post any illustrations in a while. It's my last card done for www.facebook.com/SpellweaverTCβ¦. At least until the game launches and they may or may not need to expand it. I want to say for short that I had a great collaboration with them and I wish the best to the team and the project, as well as , the Giver of Cards!
I also have to mention that the naga designs are based of an illustration belonging to done for the same project. And as always, I took some inspiration from our lord and saviour !

Thank you, it's done for this card game: spellweaver-tcg.com/ , which isn't based on Greek mythos but, this group I was asked to paint happened to have minotaurs and medusas in it, heh. The game is supposed to have many factions represented in many cards, so a lot of familiar things from mythology could probably be found in it! : D

Yea, I'm very familiar with Heroes 3. I did reference and take inspiration from a bunch of stuff, but Heroes wasn't among them, though probably if it came to me at the time I would have taken a look into Heroes also.
It's interesting though that this image represents a certain faction, like there are in Heroes, Dungeon comes to mind!

A mix between the Dungeons of Heroes 3 and 5 came to my mind, actually. Pretty much every visible creature of your picture is in one of these ^_^
