A part of a extremely late gift set for my closest HP-fantards on dA. c:
I decided to draw all the girls as they would look in their early 20's, following the Second War.

This here is Hannelore Reindhardt-Vitious, half-sister to my Acilino, and half-cousin to my Kempley. :] She hails from Hufflepuff house. I debated on drawing her in Auror clothing since she becomes an Auror after the war, but I went for a cute winter outfit instead, since it suddenly got cold as fuck here…and because I love drawing fur. :]

Winter Auror outfit, maybe?

I tried to go at all of these pieces with a more realistic approach than I usually do--since Han's half German, quarter Spanish, and quarter English, I tried really hard to make her look…not asian. Since everything I draw looks asian sdofhsodufh. -_-

I think I've made her a little more ornate than the other ones. OTL That's what I get when I try to draw embellishments upon embellishments.

*cracks knuckles* Let's see.... going to try and find things you can improve on this, which will be hard because heck it looks amazing Mika, but I'm going to try.

Her hair - very nice and detailed. Maybe put a couple stands over that pretty blue clip. The strands that are over her shoulders should be as long as the rest of her hair unless her hair is layered, I'm not sure if it is or not though.

Clothes - also very nice. The shading is pretty darn great. I especially love the textures on the white poofies. The thing about the white poofies though is that they merge with the white BG. I think it would look nice as a PNG with a clear BG, or with a simple color if that's impossible because you colored on top of the sketch. The thing keeping her shawl closed is very nice and shiny and painterly, I enjoy it. Watch out for the texture on her dress thing I said on MSN.

Face - also very nice xD The anatomy is great, though maybe the ear's a little too far back. The hair might just make it look that way. All of her features are detailed and realistic and I'm a bit jealous. I really like her eeeyyeees. They're so pretty and glassy blue, and pretty. I like her eyebrows too, since I know you're coming from anime/manga style it's great to see that you can make realistically thick but still feminine eyebrows.

Shading - though it looks nice and soft and realistic, I'm confused as to where it's coming from. The dress and hair make me think top right, which agrees with some of the shading on her face. But her face also has highlights that look like they're coming from bottom left.

Aaaand that's all I can think of.

I'm really seeing so much improvement in your digital art, and can't wait to see more. Keep it up in 2012

Haha I agree with everything here, except you know me and how lazy I am with shading |D I'll try to pay attention next time though.

Her hair is actually shoulder-length in her 20's, so it's all the same length as the pieces that are in front of her jacket. It's just everywhere because it's windy/winter/she'sahotmess.

This is just so gorgeous *_____* I love your coloring skills-you're improving so quickly!! Only thing is that to be even closer to Hannelore's design, maybe a lighter shade of blonde would work better O: But that is seriously negligible since this is such a beautiful piece

Really? I thought it was a realistic shade that's close to the yellow-ish blonde that she's usually drawn in. :U Maybe my monitor just makes it look lighter OTL

I'm very bad at drawing, hence why I use bases and take pictures with my camera.. with my miles of costumes... >> You're so much better at drawing than I am...

I've been practicing since I was very, very little. All it takes is dedication and practice! I started out on digital mediums using bases in middle school (using MSPaint no less), but after a lot of practice, time, and desire, I'm able to get to what I'm doing now. I'm still improving too--everyone is. There's even a big difference in what I was creating last month to what I'm doing right now.

Just don't give up--all you have to do is practice as much as you can (not on bases), and believe that you can get better. :] You'll gain respect, friends, and upper peers that way too, and get a circle of people who you can grow with.

I like your style though; I don't think it's anime, really. It's got a mix of both western and eastern comic styles c:

You have a good concept of color though, so I'm sure you'll pick it up quick. From only coloring a few things digitally, I can already see improvement from the first piece you posted C:
