xDD is okay, he's blind because on the next page he says that he fell on the rocks.(he protected Jane's life by pushing her to go over to the flat ground instead of falling on rocks due to how he's a male, but if there was rocks there he can't blink to protect his eye!) :3 I hope you understood that
