  ◢◣ H I S T O R Y:
Rem grew up with his father in a cabin deep within the woods. He didn't have any friends when he was younger due to being home schooled by his father. His father always told him not to enter the woods, that no good will come of it.
Rem disobeyed his father on several occasions, he spent his time chasing animals around through the forest. There was nothing else to do in a cabin in the woods after all.
One day, he strayed too far. He got himself hopelessly lost! He spent several days in the woods, before succumbing to dehydration.

He woke up to the sound of rain. Dazed and confused, he had no memory of his life before. Except that he had gotten lost within the woods after leaving home. He walked through the forest looking for his home which he couldn't entirely recall.
He found a cabin with an old man crying over his son. He watched him for several minutes that day and came back every day for the next couple years to watch him as well.
When the man finally passed away, he moved on. Eventually finding himself wondering through the town hall of Hallows Haven. He decided to call this place home for a while.
