80% of the time my nails are some shade of blue, but I didn't want to repeat the exact same colors in the pictures. I don't always take pictures so these are only a few of many different style I've had. They're natural, I never wear fake nails and I repaint them every 2 weeks.Related content

You only paint them every 2 weeks? How do you keep the polish on that long?

If it's good polish it stays as long as it has a coat of clear or two on top and I only need to repaint them because they grow out. Some polish isn't so easy to manage. Light colors such as white and yellow and neons like the orange I used for a tiger nails [link] don't stick very well and need to be touched up. Very Metallic colors stick better than neons, but not as well as regular colors. Glitters should go on top of a clear layer rather than directly on the nail because they stick like crazy and are otherwise hard to remove. Sometimes I just change my nails after one week if it looks easier to do them over instead of trying to maintain them for another week.

I just put on 2 coats of a new polish I got yesterday with no clear coats and it has already chipped.. I'll have to try what you suggested next time.

If it starts looking paler or darker around the edges that means it's not sticking properly. Applying clear first, then the color, then clear again can help.

That's not the longest I've had them. I cut and file when they get longer than that because I fear I might break them and I want to keep working on that 5+ years record without a broken nail. XD Besides, last time I let them grow longer because I was feeling lazy and didn't want to cut them (they get really long and filing alone isn't enough) I somehow ended up rolling on top of my hand at a weird angle while I slept and "bent" the tip of my left index nail, except it didn't really bend or break, but I certainly felt the pressure and it hurt. I was amazed I didn't break it. It was similar to the ultimate pain of stubbing a toe. I always file them round, because I like it and because I'll probably end up hurting myself with the edges in my sleep in they were square.
