It's strange, I want to use one of the ones you made as a cursor, but It always saves it in Windows Media Player instead of Cursors. D:

the folder? try saving it to the desktop then moving it.

did you mean the file type? it shouldn't really matter, but if it's interfering try right clicking the cursor file and under open with choose a different default program, a cursor editor if you have it installed, or an image program, maybe then the media player will stop interfering.

is it not saving as .cut or .ani? that's odd... windows shouldn't change the files in the zip... try re-downloading it?

I tried doing all of that but it won't let me D:

I tried saving it in Cursors, but since it's a folder, it won't let me D:

Could you maybe create a separate thing with only the cursor? Maybe that will work~

Deviant Art doesn't allow cur files to be posted directly without a preview image. This is really strange though, the zip should already have the files separate... One other person is also having trouble, though rather than the media player windows reads it as jpg... Maybe this will help: pcsupport.about.com/od/fixthep...

I've been trying to save the icons as cursors but it won't work. What should I do?

did you download the .cur files? They are already formatted as cursors, you just need to save the files and select them. You can get them from the download link to the right of the preview.

Whenever I try to save them they can only be saved as gifs.

Rather than saving the picture file, use the download link on the right side of the page to save the zip.

I tried that too

No matter what, my computer seems to only want to save it as a jpeg

Do I need a special program or something for cursors?

MikariStar In reply to Mad-Wolf-Hatter [2013-07-20 20:13:03 +0000 UTC]

I use real world cursor to make them www.rw-designer.com/cursor-mak...

Though they should work without it... I'm not sure where the jpg is coming from, the preview is a gif, the files are cur, there was never a jpg in there so it's odd. Try installing the program and selecting it as the default program to be used on cur files via the open with option.

What puzzles me is how could it change the format if it's inside a zip. Somehow it seems more likely that the system is just reading it wrong. The only other thing I can think of would be to select to view formats and make sure windows isn't adding a different format to the end of the file. windows.microsoft.com/en-ph/wi...
