Prakriti, the Primal Energy, is the divine origin of the five primary elements of Earth, Air, Space, Fire and Water that constitute the environment. Each of these elements has its own life and form, and together, the elements are interconnected and interdependent. Adiyogi, the first yogi - the Adi Guru, through the mental and physical practices of Yoga, manifested the Yog or Unification of the individual with the divine Prakriti. Like the entire world, the human body is also a culmination of the five elements of Prakriti and each element is linked to one of our five senses. This bond between our senses and the elements is the foundation of the human relationship with the natural world. Nature and the environment are not outside us, not alien or hostile to us. We are the environment; we are but a miniscule part of the environment. Who are we to destroy it or save it? We must simply exist - in Oneness.
