Was browsing *dirk-geijsbeek 's collection and totally fell in love with Titania. Totally.And ~Debido-San tells me her name in the original Japanese version of the game is Tiamat, like the Sea Goddess. That is even cooler *squeee*

I always like the foreign name, "Titania" XD I could never draw her hair like you did here, even though it may look simple enough! I like the amount of folds in the clothing, as well as the expression! The pose is pretty nice too--rare to see her without her axe! XD

Well, I took your suggestrion and your helpful little tutorial movie and I colored the picture. And despite thinking it would suck - it actually turned out very, very well. I definitely did NOT expect that.

Are you sure? Your gallery suggests otherwise. I started out with mainly pencil too, and gradually dabbled in digital art and colouring. You already got yourself Photoshop, so if you'd like to try, be my guest!
If you'd like some tips to get started, there are many ways to colour, though I generally use the Multiply layer method. This is a clip I made to show how to set up the Multiply layer [link]

Maybe I could give it a shot - unfortunately I don't have a tablet or anything which I hear makes things easier. But typically I just have no understanding of how to cel shade things.
I can try, but the results would likely be disastrous, heh.

I don't know what I can say that I haven't already told you but this is just an impressive work. You really enjoyed drawing her and it shows. From the more subtle effects such as the athleticism you only just hint at, to how she seems so relaxed and comfortable. There isn't a lot of scenes like that in video games in general, but I suppose it falls to dA artists to provide those scenes. 
Oh, and while I think I already told you this, but I love how you did her eyes and her hair.

Thanks a lot Mac. I really appreciate all your feedback and especially the extra insights. They're the kind of things that the artists themselves often don't see. Artists draw from inspiration, sending out some sort of message, but they don't really know what that message is until some recipient translates it back to them. "You really enjoyed drawing her", while that might seem almost painfully obvious, it helped me to realise something. I might post it in my journal once I've gathered my thoughts. Thanks again, Mac!

Pre~tty. I like how she's not in armor. We don't see enough of her just as herself and not as a soldier. there's not enough Titania love out there. Is her name really Tiamat in the JP version? That's cool. I really enjoy how laid back she looks here. She's always so serious in the game. X)

I love chivalrous characters like her, and to explore the more human side of them. I've been told her JP name is Tiamat, which I like even more ^^ Characters like these are often too quiet to stand out, so I hope to spread more Titania love *sprinkles love here and there* Thank you for visiting and faving!

Very sensitively done - the subtle purse to her lips while she blows that kiss seems perfectly balanced with the slightly tilted cascade of hair and the incredibly gentle shading in her eyes. In fact, all the lines and hues have an economy and grace to them that seem almost supernatural. You must really love this character - it's hard not to physcially feel her presence on the page.
This is a terrific example of that unexplainable soul that real artists seemt to be able to show so effortlessly - this picture's alive in ways some people will never be.

You flatter me much, Neoverse. It's true that I very much resonate with the aura of this character, and have instilled my "soul" into this sketch. I feel that the character is the epitome of Moonwarrior's motto, "Strength, compassion, virtue."
How you feel that some people may never be fully alive is also sad but true. Yet I also believe that everyone does have the potential, because everyone has this "unexplainable soul", and have the means to express it if they only reach into their heart. Perhaps a mark of great art, music, writing or any creation is that it stirs in the audience their inner creator, and to inspire each of us share our own unique magic. If I think of my favourite artists, musicians or writers, I'd say yes, they all inspire me in that way.

You don't strike me as a flattery operated type, but I'm happy to give it when it seems appopriate. I don't often see an image that has an aura, so I'm usually pretty astounded when it happens.
Yes, everyone has this unexplainable spirit - one of the most amazing things about art is how it can tap into something so much bigger and finer than we are, yet at the same time show us that that finer thing is exactly WHAT we are in the most fundamental sense. Or at least thats been my experience. Heh, I'm probably a little overly philosophical at times, if I'm not careful I'll probably get myself in trouble with my little diatribes.

She may not be buff in this picture or the game, but her character design exudes a feminine might all it's own. That's what I love about her, compared to the rest of Fire Emblem's (beautiful, but very thin) girls.
