Shamouti Prophecy

My contest entry for *Phaaze22 's contest and also a fan art. For a really long time I've been expecting to draw Lugia and the timing couldn't be more perfect.

Anyway... it's been a really long time since I drew a Lugia for the last time. Last time it was in 2009 I guess. I was extremely rusted and had no improvement in this character since that time. I had to do many scraps, doodles and sketches before I could do this and even so I still had to use refs.

My source of inspiration was The Chosen One, by B-52's from the Pokémon 2000 soundtrack and gosh, this song is amazing! o3o

This picture brings improvements and the use of new effects I've never done before as well as old ones that had got tweaks like the clouds for example. As for stuff that I did for the very first time I guess you can count the aurora glow for example.

This piece took me quite some time to do but was fun and worth it. :3 I was eager to finish it. Still not my newest masterpiece but I am pretty happy about how it turned out. Even though I still think I am missing something. I just can't tell what.
