hey guys! here are some 30 minute sketches I did recently for the Daily spitpainting challenge, the orc one is a 40 minute versionthemes:
Defeating the darkness
Beast of the forest
Orc shaman
Skeleton lord
I have a lot of fun doing these!

reminds me I need to start timing myself to see just how long it takes me to do my sketches.
30 minutes...Β Did you end up wiping sweat off your brow, or did you come out of that saying "Pfft.Β I can so shave that down to 10.."

I like the skeleton lord the best. His clothing shows real bulk and it makes you think why does an undead need warm clothing?

wooah I realy like the way you use the colours, usually its kinda hard tome make the diference on the lights and shadows on some art. but on yours its fun to watch and learn

You can find all the resources you need on the internet. Though mentoring is useful, you can find and understand the fundamentals without a tutor. Light, colour, perspective, form and anatomy etc etc. Groups on Facebook are good for help. Crimson Daggers is an online community dedicated to helping each other learn art freely. They recommend a lot of books and videos. The most important one for me was Jeremy Vickerys light and colour video, super helpful. Anthony jones also does a lot of helpful videos. Feng Zhu has a lot of lessons on his Youtube channel. You get the point.. there's a lot out there, but they all generally recommend the same things.Β

well thanks , but they all seem kinda intermediate level , specially feng , however i can give a shot to the rest , i have a hard time picking colors and coloring overall , but thanks for the tip
