The Odachi Variable R.A.I.L ( Robotic, Armed, Integrated, Loader) combat system is the final produce of the Strider VR program [link] , that was abandoned by Halcyon Heavy Industries about 10years earlier. The Odachi is for all practical purposes the upgaded version of the Strider prototype. The Odachi is about 20% larger than the prototype and is more powerful . The eight rim mounted motors ( 4 per wheel) provide the Odachi with around 400hp. The Vr is also equipped with an overbooster system that can generate an additional 100hp for short burst. The VR has a top speed of 240 mph. in Strider mode.

The Odachi is a dual form combat unit that can convert to Hi-Maneuver form for tight urban combat use. The Odachi can be arm with various loadout , but comes standard with to heavy combat Vibro-blades , houses in the inside forearms. The Odachi also has a "Tailgunner" system that allows the rider to operate the unit while not aboard.

The Odachi Rider will appear in Megaway and Guerilla Tactics. That will be in the anthologies, Ante Up! and Mechology. oming from Bad Cog Studios and Brushfire Studios.
