Love your creature sketches. It gives food for thought on the biology and evolution of non-earth species.

I was watching a video where one in an aquarium was getting worked up because of little kids laughing and the noises caused it to keep opening its mouth and scaring the kids. I don't think it was out of playful behavior per say, but more of a reaction to the high pitched screams the kids were making. There are different videos of Belugas interacting the same way www.youtube.com/watch?v=1e4M_l…
They really are just quite alien looking overall

Ha, I saw that video! Yes, I love the overall silhouette, shapes and colour of these creatures. Sort of aethereal.

I just mean the combinations and just how creatively alien they look. They're almost abstract and I'm just having trouble finding that kind of creativity.

Low intelligence? Ahaha! Looks the part!
This is very interesting design-- bipedal like a man and stub-faced like a beluga and insect, but decidedly unlike any of the animals it's made of. You've got great skill when it comes to mixing traits, and it shows here. Nice work!

Thanks - yea, I kinda wanted to give it a similar feeling to apes in the respect that they might live in small groups, with limited vocabulary and means of building etc..
