Thanks. I always try to keep a nice flow between design elements, to me.. it wouldn't make sense doing something like giving this guy a high tech gun for example. Based on the creatures appearance of intellegance, what he's wearing and what the time era/age of technology he would be living in I always try to make sure the additional design elements match that of the character/creatures background history.

Yes, it makes much more sense.
It'd be weird if you gave him a gun and some expensive suit.
