Description Hi guys, here's part 2 of the Main Line. Going from Crosby to Killdane. a good amount, especially since after that, I will be talking about the Brendam Branch, as it's starting terminus Wellsworth is here to. Oh, and since we're talking the Main Line, I should also mention which stations does Gordon's express stop at to; we know it departs from Knapford, but it doesn't stop at Tidmouth given that it heads downwards, so maybe on occasional return journeys should the express be switched north. But it does stop at Elsbridge. So without further or do, let's get started;

Main Line
1) Crosby Tunnel-This of course is where Crosby Tunnel would be. The signal gantry at Elsbridge is before it I should mention, but this tunnel will be in this spot right here, in it's design from S6 onwards, with triple tracks in the large tunnel, with retaining walls on the side. Going down the line after that is that same stretch of line where Edward saved a runaway James with an inspector holding a shunter's pole and a lasso. The stone walkway bridge they ran under is also present there to.

2) Crosby Station-Next we come to Crosby Station itself. It's a really nice looking station, and nothing about it has changed. I'll draw a layout for it soon, but there are plenty of siding arrangements, especially leading into that barber shop Duck crashed through when trying to stop that runaway train. And its also here Duck had another incident with George blocking his line, causing Gordon to crash into his train. The express itself doesn't stop at Crosby.

3) Viaduct-Here is the ever iconic Viaduct. Unlike in the show, I'm thinking of making this three tracks to keep up with the consistency of Main Line. It will have the cream colored stone pavement like from S3 onwards, as I think it looks nice that way. This is where Gordon & Henry got stopped by a lonely cow, and where Gordon's dome got blown off in the wind when trying to beat City of Truro's record. I just think the viaduct looks great being here between Crosby and Wellsworth.

4) Topham Manor-This I decided is where the Fat Controller's estate would be, as I think right by the railway line near Wellsworth would be a perfect spot for his house. So now you know where the Fat Controller and his wife Lady Hatt live. His children, being adults at this point live in their own houses with their families.

5) Wellsworth Station-Now here we come to Wellsworth, the starting point of the Brendam Branch, and definitely one of the most popular and best locations on Sodor. In fact, this could probably be like the main middle station of the main line if you will. One thing I will say for certain, the express definitely stops here for sure. Wellsworth is also important because it's shunting yards are big to, as goods trains from different lines can be sent here, and then later brought to Brendam Docks, or trains from Brendam Docks can even come and be sorted here. This is of course where Bill & Ben played their diseasal schtick on BoCo when he first came to Sodor. I plan to do an individual layout of this next, and the design of Wellsworth is the same in the TV series, I'm going for it's S3 look mostly. The yards are the same from S3 in One Good Turn, and I'll do my best to draw the yards there, considering what I've seen in some Trainz videos, as I feel the yards from One Good Turn really sell how big and very lively the yards with all the trucks and coaches that needed to be shunted. The shunting itself who ever is present, especially Edward, but also BoCo, Derek, Salty, and even Bill & Ben should they ever by sent here, or any of the other utility or shunting engines. In fact, whoever handles the yards, also takes turns on banking trains up Gordon's Hill. After going under the stone-arched bridge, then that's where we pass Suddrey Crossing, which we know is also the entrance to Edward's Branchline. It has the same design from S2, though I wonder how engines from the opposite direction down Gordon's Hill can get into the branchline, as there are no set of point for that direction. I guess we'll just have to see.

6) Gordon's Hill-Ah yes, I had to add Gordon's Hill obviously, because it wouldn't be the main line without it. The lines pass under the stone-arched bridge there, but the design of Gordon's Hill is the one from S1, as I like the idea of it having these curves, just to sell how steep and challenging the hill is for even the strongest of engines. The one in more recent seasons is so generic.

7) Maron Station & Crossing-After descending down Gordon's Hill, we go over the stone bridge from Thomas and the Trucks, then past Maron Crossing, where Henry rescued the whiny and lazy D199 and his train, after the selfish diesel failed and got threatened by the signalman, where Lorry 3 broke down when insisting to take on more flour past his limit when trying to show up Donald, only for him to break down right in front of Donald himself at that same crossing, and where Arthur crashed into Duck with fruit vans after being fooled by Bill & Ben. Then we come to Maron Station. Where in my canon, this is really where Percy ran away to and stop in a pile of dirt, not Suddrey. In fact, in Thomas and the Trucks, Thomas gets pushed by the little buggers at Wellsworth, which makes sense if your remember the context of that episode. But one thing for certain, this is where James crashed into that line of tar wagons after being rude to Toby and the trucks. I like the S1 look more, as that I feel is an ideal choice. But it's look from S6 onwards, we'll get to that later. But I will say this, the express doesn't stop here.

8) Loop-Line #2-This I got from the Sam Wilkinson map. Bad as it was, it did help take some weight off my mind in where to place certain locations. And when I wrote my adaptation of Gordon Takes a Tumble, boy did it help me a lot. This line is a goods line for goods trains only, and its 2 major companies being the Lumberyard and the Flour Mill. The line is on a hill, and passenger trains can only go on the line if it's an emergency, but they gotta go slow or they'll derail and roll down the embankment, as poor Gordon found out after he took a tumble and rolled through the farmland there. The farmer unfortunately hates Gordon for that careless accident, and I'm sorry to say, hasn't forgiven him fully.

9) Sodor Lumberyards-This I already talked about in depth in the Splatter & Dodge episode recently. I'm glad I did, and this is where the cut down trees would obviously be sent to be sawed and made into lumber, furniture, etc. And also where Dodge was being an all around jerk and stole Henry's train. I'll do an individual layout for this place real soon.

10) Flour Mill-I think the Flour Mill from S5 onwards would be perfect here. It's got the same design from S5 I should mention, so, nothing much has changed there, but I was thinking there could be some sidings next to the mill where trucks can be stored and trains would be picked up by engines. But nonetheless, it's still the same. I'll probably do a layout on it soon.

11) Cronk Station-This station is not gonna be like that dinky, little, middle-of-nowhere station from S6, as I like what Trainz did where they made Lower Tidmouth, Cronk Station, as I don't really agree on their being a Lower Tidmouth at all whatsoever. So having the design of that station would be better for Cronk. Now the line goes under this Plate Girder Bridge from the Miller era, which many would call Neville's Bridge, but I don't agree, especially since I got something different in mind for Neville's debut in my series. It's the same bridge with the olive-green girders, and where the main line tracks at the bottom, which are still 3 tracks at this point, run by the road. I just like the idea of a rail bridge being over the main line, and the road running alongside it, so doing this here, and making that bridge one of the two entrances for the Peel Godred Branch would make sense, but, we can go further into that and this bridge again once we go into that. Once again, the express doesn't stop at this station.

12) Killdane Station-Lastly for today is Killdane Station, the starting station of the Peel Godred line, and one of the two main entrances to the branchline itself, but again, we'll talk about it later. My idea of this station is that this is the station that has the same look as S6's Maron, as I never liked Maron being curved in recent seasons, but for Killdane, it's perfect, especially thanks to Trainz, which I think is an ideals choice. Plus, it justifies it's placement on the map to if anything. I look forward to doing a version of this map soon. I'll just finish this up by saying no, the express doesn't stop here either, and I don't think it needs to.

So that covers up the middle section of the Main Line from Crosby-Killdane. I hope you all enjoyed, and knowing what I got in mind for these locations in my head canon. Like I said, I will go over what I got in mind for the Brendam Branch, but until then, I hope you all enjoyed! Peace out!
