-Bio: Rusty is a friendly, cheerful and hardworking diesel that works on the Skarloey Railway. He is the only diesel on the railway that handles the maintenance work as well as moving any loads at the quarries on the line. He is a dedicated and patient worker who enjoys doing what he does best, and when doing so, there has never been a problem on the railway that he couldn't solve. Despite his kindness and tolerance, he can be firm if any engine is tampering with the maintenance for their own selfish reasons, and he never hesitates to remind them on rail safety and the proper conduct of repairs. With his distinctive two-tone horn and positive outlook, Rusty has always won over every engine's respect, even Duncan who originally had a grudge against the diesel when he first came, but the two are now close friends, and Rusty usually helps bring Duncan down to earth when he's complaining. He always handles his job with patience and precision, and has good working relationships with his fellow narrow gauge engines, as Rusty is a modest credit to them all.

-Artist's Commentary: So here is Rusty. I really like this character to, as it is great for the Skarloey Railway to have a diesel that is the exact opposite of all the antagonistic diesels such as Diesel, 'Arry, Bert, Diesel 10, etc. He is one of the more kind-hearted and optimistic diesels like BoCo, Derek, Mavis, etc., as we need more diesels like them, as trust me, I've had it with the Steam vs. Diesel rivalry too, even though in my fanfic, I plan to have that too, but not as overbearing as in the current series, but when I call for it, and to not make the diesels look like jerks. And as much as I don't like Mattel, strangely this year, they've given Rusty plenty of merchandise this year, and its strange as Bachmann announced him last year, and only this year we have a picture of the little diesel, but strangely enough, he still isn't out yet. Let me guess, he'll be out in December like Skarloey and Rheneas were in their respective years, I know our economy suck right now, but that isn't really a good excuse, I hope next year in 2019 that we'll be given better products like BoCo, Daisy, Stanley, Sir Handel, Peter Sam, etc., but only time will tell. But back on subject, Rusty is such a likable character through and through, and do I even need to say what his role in Engines Together will be. But yeah, I even made his face shorter like his original shorter scale model from Seasons 4-5 looked like, as I really didn't like that oh so large face that was given we had his large scale model was constructed, even his CGI model, while the body was greatly rendered, his face was too huge, and I didn't like that, so here I have Rusty's Season 4 look, as this is how I believe he should look like. Up next is another narrow gauge engine who only appeared in one story, never spoke, and we know very little about, until next time.
