Description Been quite a while since I've done something rather dark, especially in a video and I kinda want to go back and try to do that, I just don't know how and what I could do. Also I'm quite the softie, heck I have the urge to do something light hearted tomorrow with Payback simply to offset this one xD I love drama and tragedy, but I am also a very cheery person who wants things to work out in the end ^^ Off to bed for now, good night if its night for you and good morning if its morning for you

Payback model provided by DarkHedgehog23
Fiona fox belongs to Archie comics.

Something tells me that you're gonna make a video for this Fanmade Character. Correct or Wrong?

I don't mean to butt into your conversation but I thought I might offer a few suggestions, because I saw you something to this effect in a previous piece. If you want more detail in those hands like the exposed joints that show up in pictures of Payback you can probably remodel them. try breaking up those fingers into segments by either adding loop cuts along the joints an scaling them in such that they appear to be gaps between robotic finger bones; or draw up a texture that when applied to the hand mesh creates some rudimentary lines i myself am not so great with bump mapping to achieve that kind of 3d effect with my textures so i often model instead of draw texture details. Lastly whatever value has been applied to the .VMT that is making her arms so glossy, just turn it down. Payback’s arms are not that shiny, they are dull old and kinda beat up from use think Dog from HL2.

Anyway these are only suggestions, if MikeDarklighter is happy with them, I’d let it alone, I think the model looks good overall! But if you want to improve on your work, no harm trying it out!

Good luck!

Now, this is a real critique! Very well-written constructive feedback like this is always refreshing to see. I will say, though, and this is just me guessing, that I think in this picture, Payback's metal limbs are new and therefore the clean shine of them is like that. I think I can make them look aged in the future, though, texture-wise. I can also attempt the gaps-between-robotic-finger-bones thing with a texture, maybe XD I am not completely sure just how possible it is but if DarkHedgie doesn't fix the issue with the finger joints, I can certainly attempt it while editing the texture?

well thanks! Ok, I see brand new arms would be shiny I know modeling is not that easy texturing is difficult too, I don't know what your process is when drawing textures, but if you have access to the original blender model you can check out the UV map and use it as a guide for where the colors should go; or ask DarkHedgie for the exported UV layout in .png form. Once again do your thing just some thoughts from one deviant to another!

You know, you could be more specific. Vagueness never helped anybody when it comes to critique if that is what this comment is. For instance: how could the hands need better work? What kind of work do they need? How could they be fixed? Anything about the actual art piece, overall, that you have anything to say about? Those kinds of questions are kind of hanging in the air, here. Simply saying "Dis is not good. Needs more work" just comes across as vague and rude if you've got nothing constructive to say. Additionally, critique comments are supposed to point out the positives, too, not just complain about something needing "better work." I'd suggest considering this in the future when you want to complain about something as these complainy, nonconstructive comments can be exasperating to anyone on the receiving end.
