Resignation.I have gotten to know Peter well over the years, he comes across as a lovable rouge and he is but sometimes the mask slips just enough to see him.

...extremely expressive portrait. It says ...so much...and of course, we can only imagine, what , at this very moment gave him this expression.You suggest "resignation".Of course, for a homeless, those moments are evident.Still ,even through the darkness or despair he is, there is still a glim, for hope for something, can be delivery from suffering, can be a far-away memory, when his life would be , than "intact"...can be , that there is a little bird,in front of him, with which he is sharing a peace of bread...
However, in spite of his sad and tired eyes, something very kind and gentle can be read from a smile, hidden under his beard, but showing on his cheeks...a sparkle ...in a brave and humble soul, according to me, at least. ...
PS: a dear common friend, mentioned and praised a few times Your beautiful Artwork, so I thought, I 'll have a look...and I can only say, he is right,about what he said ! ,Your Art is beautiful and breathtaking...
