Description
The odds on this planet hosting life are so astronomical in all honesty we should not be here, never mind the huge range of biodiversity we have.
Eons ago something happened and part of this planet spawned life and what started as single cell life forms is now responsible for what we have now. We and everything we share this lump of rock with are freaks of nature but what wonderful freaks we are.
This is a Grey Crowned Crane (Balearica regulorum), simply a beautiful animal but everything it is is evolved for a reason, long slender legs for wading and beak designed specifically for its food source. Its one of only two species that can roost in trees because it has evolved a hind toe that can grip branches. The gular sac (the red bag beneath its beak) is used for mating and it has an intricate breeding display that it uses all its splendor for.
Its only when we see the world again, through new eyes do we see what is here, what has gone before and how it evolves to meet its own needs not ours. We have seen a huge upsurge of urban foxes in the UK because we are decimating their natural habitat, they are evolving to the changing conditions that we are forcing upon them, our response? We kill them as vermin!
We have to learn to coexist and not override, the world will evolve, it will always have beautiful freaks, it does not mean we are part of its master plan.

Man was made with superior mental capacity to understand and witness the beauty of every little thing in this planet, when these animals dont even know how amazing they are.
