Description
Earlier this year I had an encounter with a wild coyote. I was hunched over looking for bones and owl pellets at the base of an owls nest when i herd the sound of footsteps in the leaves behind me. When i turned around I saw what I though at first glance was a pet dog. It wasn't until the Coyote was about ten feet away I realized this was no ones pet. It was still very steadily approaching and had cut off the only small trail out from the base of the tree. It all happened so fast that I only had a chance to stand up by the time the Coyote was only a few feet away. As I was about to holler the coyote very deliberately changed its path. It never slowed its pace and it never ran away or seemed fearful at any point. Even with a camera in my hand I didn't manage to get a picture. So i have decided to illustrate it instead.Woodblock on Paper

You have very characteristic style and technique! I love sharp contrast between white and black parts of your print. Shadows beneath figures yield realistic depth and dreamy impression at the same time
