Oh I didn't realize you were running another VN using Ren'Py, well, best of luck to that.
Definitely was a better choice to switch Carmine's name-text color as it looked like it was drowned out by the text box color. And I thing the font fits the character design better.
And everytime I read that comment by the Black Haired Girl I keep thinking this is a spy meet up or something. XD

Coming along nicely, but i must say i think i prefer the older font. The new one gets a little cluttered with letters like M but too spacey between other characters (mostly punctuation and l)

Kind of like the left one.
What I like about it is that there's not much eye highlights there.
And I do prefer the backgrounds in the right because it's vibrant.

text on the left is a lot more comfortable to read. Also love how "Black Haired Girl" looks really pissed while saying "nice weather we're having..." seems almost sarcastic XD
you should consider making the name plate for each character solid rather than see through. For black haired girl at least it's a bit hard to read.
