This is interesting. I like the cropping, textures, and harsh light especially. Usually you would expect these kinds of scenes to be in a dark and dreary place, but the intense lighting gives this a whole different feeling because light is supposed to be safe and pure..
The only "issue" I see is the weight distribution somewhat and position of the arm with the cleaver. It looks a little awkward and stressful for a human form. Maybe there would be a bit more weight in the cleaver, too.
