Hmm... I think at least one aspect of the problem may be that the angel's breasts are large enough - and illuminated enough - to draw focus away from the rest of the image. They also throw off the symmetry quite a bit.
Other than that, this is quite interesting. Makes me think of a notion I had a few years ago, about lovers condemned to Hell; it was the thought that they were sewn together, flesh to flesh, and were doomed to tear and claw at each other for the duration of their sentence as they both struggled to break free.

very nice. reminds me of a statue that was made, it revolves on a stand in a museum, of a village woman on one side, then a devil on the other.

This is amazing! The expressions are great, and i love the idea of them being stitches together and trying to gt free from the other (if that is correct?) All in all it's truly amazing! *fav*
