Hey guys. This is probably the final model of my elite before I start to texture it. I may tweak a few things here and there, but I think the end result will look close to this.I can't think straight to say anything in the comments, so maybe I'll add something later.

Thanks man! I started in Zbrush and sculpted a concept, then I took it into 3ds max and made clean topology and details

It's an Elite from Halo wearing armour made from medium sized pieces.
I agree with PLyczkowski too. The detail is to not distributed in an interesting way. Makes him look a bit like he's made of Lego.
Blimey, I'm a picky fucker. Still a very nice model though.

unsmoothed it's 818,289 with smoothing of 3 iterations its 52,370,496 polys

Crazy, what software are you using? I wasn't aware of any program that was capable of handling that many polys on screen at once.

I'm using 3ds max. I don't think my computer can handle it in viewport so I apply the iterations at rendertime

Thanks a lot dude. I don't have a pose yet, but I will post it eventually. Actually the weapons are built into the armor. He can shoot shit out of his palms like iron man kinda, but with plasma. Also in his gloves is a built in sword, and on his forearm is a built in plasma shield. The orbs are the area where these weapons and shields are used. Here's a crappy mockup:

Looking nice, though ~PLyczkowski does have a point that many of the details there don't seem to have any purpose. Regardless of that, what's here looks solid.

I like the forms, but for me they are too evenly distributed and similar. Also there is a lot of stuff that obviously doesn't "do" anything.
