very sweet!
urethanes huh?
cool never used them, what are they like to run through the detail brushes?
and was this a plastic case or metal?

its metal case with plastic front , the urethanes spray better than any paint ive ever sprayed, they stink but they spray fantastic. But before trying urethanes with your brush make sure your brush if properly packed with teflon, or the solvents could expand and start eating your o-rings out. But give them a shot, there my fav. stuff to paint with.

I figured it would have been metal, but thought best to ask
didn't know how urethanes would react to plastic?
never used anything but water based paints in brushes!
kind afraid to use a solvent based paint paint on anything plastic
less it eats it!
I have Iwata's, don't think they have anything in them other then teflon packing rings

ive never had issues with painting on plastics , i would be worried if the plastic was really thin , but usally they dont make anything really thin plastics anymore. As for the iwata brushes , some dont come teflon packed, exspecially there older series brushes before the Plus series. I use coastairbrush.com to pack all my brushes, they garentee them for a lifetime, and it only cost 15.00. Have a great day bro!

well I just learned something new!
didn't know that
I never used any solvent based paints on plastics
I had tried years ago on plastic panels for a motocross bike and it reacted badly
so just stayed away from that with plastics
stuck to water based

Oh man thats horrible , sorry to hear that. The solvents i use are urethane, i hear some of the enamels can be very harsh on plastics. But keep your head up bro, and keep trying new things, i really enjoy useing solvents on canvas and illustration board, give it a shot sometime and ill keep my eyes open for any airbrush works you may throw out. Take care buddy.

oh this is years ago
I'm coming to the conclusion my air brush days are behind me now
and yes now that I think about it, it may have been enamels I was using at the time
was no big deal I just wiped it off, quick sand, some primer and latex paint job
the guy wanted something that would last a bit longer then latex, he gave me some paint to use
said a friend of his gave this paint because it stood up better to abuse! and ya.. on metal not plastic
