Painted this picture of Cleo & Khensu yesterday for the grand prize of my contest which I just announced the winners for .
My book comes out in four days! AHHHHH!!!

Don't know what it is, but something about this image is making me particularly like it. Might be the posing, or the little interaction between Cleo and Khensu, or just that I'm a sucked sucker for some nicely judged watercolour. Who know.
Either way, it was enough to make me go read the webcomic version. Great story, and you had me at "retro scifi" (while the ten-year old inside was going nuts over the Egypt vibe). Guess my next stop will have to be Amazon huh?

Amazon's delivery time was quite fortuitous actually, as it gave me something else to read on the Moranbah flight. Cleo didn't quite fit in around the fishing and sports magazines being carried by everyone else on the plane, but I think I got the better deal.
