I keep wondering if there's a way to make him look scarier than he already is; next time I sketch him, I'll try to tweak his mask to make it look more skull-like.

Well I don't know that I'm smart enough about art to write a critique, but just from my un-art-educated perspective, I love how you get that "lacquered" look on his helmet, the detailing on the grillwork of the mask, and the texturing of the cloak. Nice work all the way around.
