this art is from a comic called X-MEN ORIGINS: JEAN GREY. The story is reprinted in an X-MEN ORIGINS Trade Collection too.

I really don't understand how someone can be this good at drawing and painting
May i ask how long you have been painting and what age you were when you started?
I really want to get into painting like this but i'm fifteen so i don't know if i should be more concentrated on drawing or split my attention to painting and drawing

just follow your instincts and work on your craft every day. Learn as much as you can from others, while finding what your own unique voice and style is. Do what you are passionate about, no matter what.

This is a great piece, aside from all the other praise that others have already said I would like to add that she looks like a teenager. So many comics have their characters locked in a perpetual mid-twenties peak physical condition stasis.

very cool! Great work. It's a little hard to see what's going on in the first panel though, maybe because of the angle?

Dude, I just have to say, if there's anyone out there who still says comic books aren't art, I'll show them your work and they'll have to state otherwise.

Wow wow wow!!! These are so great! Totally in a new league! The realism is just so fantastic, and yet loses none of the powerful emotions that a cartoonish style would have.
If I had to pick at something ( and it would be difficult to find ) it'd be that between pages 9 and 10 I couldn't easily figure out what happened with the little boy and Jean Grey. I'm assuming he runs past her and hits her, but that wasn't immediately apparent to me, I had to do a double take. Although this whole comment is probably moot since there's no text added yet ( which could help the situation ).
It'll be hard for you to find real helpful critique on a site like Deviantart since you greatly outclass the vast majority of us Haha

I suppose this is one of the first meetings (or the first) between Jean and Prof.X ? Nicely done. All i miss is the speech-bubbles, or actually I take that back. This scene is beyond words.
Nicely done.

In the second panel I thought he was grabbing the back of her hair... but then when I read on I thought... why is he now chasing her like a zombie and has let go of her?
Then I figured it out D:

I could swear that Xavier is looking like a bald Steven Seagal in that upper right panel.
