Makal, last name unknown, lost his mother to The Palar empire and his father taken captive by the empire, lost and alone as a child, he was taken in by his parents best friend, a former captain of the republic navy, simply named Capn, he hides his real name to keep his family safe. When Capn found out the fate that befallen Chara (makals mother) he raced to their home to find the boy lost and afraid. After burying his friend, he took makal under his care and protection, and has raised the boy into a warrior.
