At the end of this year's EVO tournament the newest addition to the growing cast of Street Fighter 6 was revealed in a fantastic trailer. I had been somewhat critical of the new direction the design for SF6 was taking up until this point, because I simply wasn't a fan of the weird mix of realistic textures with cartoony character design. I found Ryu and Chun-Li to simply look strange. But then after EVO Kimberly and Juri were revealed to the world and their trailer took me by storm. With both of these characters the new art direction works perfectly well!
I especially liked Kimberly, who, as Guy's student, uses shinobi style grapples and specials in connection with a sense of modern retro feels. The result is a fun and wild character that zips and zaps across the screen and just emits fun and energy with every step she takes!

I hope she'll be a character that I can handle properly, because I have never gotten much into playing Guy because he felt just very inaccessible. In any way, I am finally hyped for the next big release in the Street Fighter series!
