This artwork depicts a weapon which is a part of my sci-fi world's lore. Do not copy the design, use it in your own artworks, or claim it as your own!

Lore and Description:
G-R 2 is a cutting-edge sniper rifle manufactured by Ria'kortaal as a successor to its earlier G-R 1 rifle. Same as its older sibling, the G-R 2 combines two methods of projectile propulsion - a 3.2mm flechette enveloped in an 8mm sabot is first fired using a conventional propellant (the ammunition resembles miniaturized APFSDS tank rounds), but as it travels along the barrel, it is further accelerated by a magnetic field produced by a set of coils, granting it a substantial range and penetration and insane projectile velocity. The magazine is located behind the pistol grip, while a housing in front of it holds a battery powering the coils and the upper acessory rail. To help utilize its tremendous potential range to its maximum, the rifle usually comes equipped with a digitalized scope which assists with target acquisition and lead. Some models can even be directly networked with drones and other observation tools, automatically designating targets and highlighting them in the shooter's field of view.

The weapon is very complex and expensive and only available in limited numbers. It is mainly used by Istarian special forces for its mostly classified operations.

Inspiration and Background Information:
The design of the conventional parts of the rifle was influenced by DSR-1 and TTS Xceed, while the electromagnetic coils resemble those found on some of the popular media's Gauss rifles, such as the one from STALKER. 😁
